Dallas Stars: Dan Jancevski
Another one of the Stars' key minor league defensemen is moving on. According to CapGeek.com, Dan Jancevski has signed a two-year, two-way deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.
He was big part of last season's Texas Stars defense, which has also lost Andrew Hutchinson and Garrett Stafford to free agency this summer.
Except for about an 18 month span, the 29-year-old Jancevski has spent just about all of his nine-year professional career playing for the Dallas Stars organization. By my count, Jancevski has played 577 regular season games in the AHL for the Stars. Those games included time with the Stars' affiliates in Utah, Iowa and Cedar Park.
Played a few NHL games with Dallas as well. He was a good depth guy to have around.
An update: The Texas Stars did announce Thursday they have re-signed defenseman Matt Stephenson for next season.
