That's what Riley Cooper, the Rangers' 26th-round pick, discussed with the media leading up to Friday's Sugar Bowl win over Cincinnati. Cooper caught an 80-yard touchdown pass in that game and had 780 yards on eight touchdowns (on 44 receptions) to lead all Florida receivers in 2009.

He told The Gainesville Sun last week that he hasn't talked to any Rangers representatives since the draft.

"I must not mean that much to them," Cooper told the paper. "Hopefully they contact me. I'm not going to contact them. I'm waiting, Texas."

Cooper, as The Palm Beach Post notes, was paid a $250,000 signing bonus by the Rangers. He hit .247 last season and wasn't taken until the 26th round. He made a deal with the Rangers to return to Gainesville for his senior season and he played well. Now he wants a shot at the NFL.
