What could Holland's injury mean?

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Derek Holland tweaked his right knee during agility drills on Saturday. He's scheduled to have an MRI done to see how serious it is. The Rangers aren't sure they can get that MRI done today, but they are trying.

A disclaimer: We don't know how serious it is, so understand that we have no idea what kind of impact this might have on the No. 5 spot in the rotation.

If Holland misses a few days, that's not likely a big deal. He might just slowly get his way back on the mound and start his bullpen sessions again. We'll just see if it's something that lingers and forces him to miss more time. We should have a better idea once the Rangers get the results of the MRI.

Certainly, health is one factor in who wins that final spot. There are a gaggle of guys competing, including Holland, Matt Harrison, Brandon McCarthy, Neftali Feliz and C.J. Wilson. As of now, Rich Harden, Scott Feldman and Colby Lewis have rotation spots. It sure looks like Tommy Hunter has one as well. That leaves those other guys to fight it out for that last spot. That's, of course, assuming the other hurlers stay healthy.

We'll let you know when we have some more updates.
