Frisco wins: Ogando has 3 shutout innings
The Frisco lineup scored a season-high 9 runs in a late morning meeting with Arkansas where it picked up its second straight victory 9-5. Wes Bankston and Renny Osuna both went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. Bankston paced the 'Riders with 3 RBIs. Jonathan Greene added 2 RBIs going 2 for 5. Johnny Whittleman added a solo home run, his first of the year. James Tomlin and Matt Lawson also had two hits each, making it 5 different 'Riders with multiple hits. In all, Frisco finished with a season-high 15 hits.
Alexi Ogando, on a strict pitch, count went 3 innings, allowing 1 run on 1 hit, while walking none and striking out 3. Ogando's fastball topped out at 98 mph. Tanner Roark picked up the victory after allowing 1 run on 4 hits in 3 innings along with 4 strikeouts. Ben Snyder worked the final 2.2 innings nearly perfect, the only blemish being a walk.
Frisco improves to 4 and 7 on the year and closes out its first road trip tomorrow in Arkansas. Richard Bleier (0-1, 6.37) will make his third start of the year for the 'Riders against Jayson Miller (0-2, 5.40).
