Wilson pulled, can't get out of sixth

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Nine-hole hitter Koyie Hill ended C.J. Wilson's day with a two-out RBI single to put the Cubs up 5-3 in the top of the sixth.

Wilson nearly worked his way out of trouble after the first two batters reached base. Wilson got Jeff Baker to fly out and then shortstop Elvis Andrus made a great play deep in the hole to get Alfonso Soriano on a force at third base. But, Hill, hitless in his first two at-bats, sent a liner to right to score Xavier Nady.

Chris Ray came on in relief with runners at the corners and got lead-off hitter Ryan Theriot to weakly ground to second to end the inning.

This was Wilson's second consecutive outing to not record a quality start (six innings, three runs) after opening the season with seven in a row. He lasted 5 2/3 innings, giving up five earned runs on seven hits with three walks and five strikeouts.

Wilson, who threw 108 pitches, has allowed 12 runs on 14 hits in 10 combined innings spanning his last two starts.
