Third time with bases loaded is charm
Craig Gentry, starting in center field in place of Julio Borbon and on the major league roster only because of Nelson Cruz's injury, hit a two-run single up the middle with one out in the sixth.
It was the third time the Rangers had loaded the bases, but the first time they got a hit in the situation. Gentry, hitting in Borbon's customary ninth spot in the order, tied the score with his hit and ended White Sox starter Mark Buerhle's night.
The Rangers then loaded the bases again off reliever Sergio Santos. Michael Young didn't get a hit, but his sacrifice fly put the Rangers ahead, 5-4.
All the runners moved up on Young's sac fly, including Elvis Andrus, who was at first. This was important because Andrus was able to score easily from second when Ian Kinsler followed with a double down the left-field line.
Quite a turnaround. It's 7-4 Rangers heading into the bottom of the sixth.
