Both starting pitchers are done

For the fifth consecutive start, Rich Harden failed to make it beyond 5 1/3 innings. He didn't come out to start the sixth inning, replaced by Darren O'Day.

Harden, however, is in line to improve his record to 3-1 after after allowing four runs on seven hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out a season-low one and threw 95 pitches, only 59 for strikes. It's hard to believe he's lost only one game this season with a 5.33 ERA.

The offense bailed him out again Tuesday, putting a pretty good whoopin' on Mark Buerhle, whose final line was six runs on 12 hits and one walk in 5 1/3 innings.
