ARLINGTON, Texas -- The buzz around the Rangers Ballpark, or at least in the pressbox, is if TCU stud pitcher and former Rangers draft pick Matt Purke will join his teammates tonight as the Rangers celebrate the Frogs' College World Series trip.

As of now, TCU has yet to arrive at the park. Frogs coach Jim Schlossnagle will throw out the first pitch.

TCU advanced to within one win of the championship series in Omaha, losing Saturday to UCLA.

Purke, who demanded more money than the Rangers could supply in their current financial straits, decided to forego the big leagues for TCU. He finished the year 16-0, including two wins at the College World Series, the best mark in the nation.
