Rangers sign 2nd-rounder Cody Buckel
He's from Royal High School in Simi Valley, Calif., and has a fastball clocked as high as 92 mph. The Rangers liked his curve ball and slider as well. Buckel, who is 6-feet tall, threw a no-hitter in March with 10 strikeouts and one walk.
He also made news because he's in theater -- starring in his own real life High School Musical. We blogged about that on ESPNDallas.com back in June.
The Rangers have now signed 31 of their 53 picks.
