ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton was taken out of Friday's game with what club officials called a flare up of some knee tendinitis that he's dealt with this season.

He was moved from center to left field in the fifth inning (switching spots with David Murphy) after experiencing some discomfort, but was lifted in the eighth. Julio Borbon came into the game at that point. Hamilton has played through the tendinitis at various points this season.

We'll let you know more after the game.
