Vladimir Guerrero was homerless through 17 games and 64 at-bats in August heading into Sunday's game.
He ended that homerless streak in the fifth inning with a three-run shot off Kevin Millwood that gave the Rangers a 6-1 lead. Guerrero entered the game a career .384 hitter against Millwood.
Since his batting average dipped below .300 on Aug. 10, Guerrero has gone on a 10-game hitting streak. The home run was his 22nd of the year and first since July 31.
