ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Texas Rangers pitcher Cliff Lee breezed through the second, retiring the side in order, including a full-count strikeout of Carlos Pena.

Lee has faced seven batters, giving up just a lead-off single by Jason Bartlett. He benefitted from Elvis Andrus' heads-up baserunning in which he scored from second base on a Josh Hamilton hopper to first for a 1-0 lead.
