ARLINGTON, Texas -- One interesting matchup to keep an eye on is Rangers LHP C.J. Wilson against Yankees right-handed hitting third baseman Alex Rodriguez. Thanks to Mark Simon at ESPN Stats & Information for providing this nugget (by the way, click here for an ESPNNewYork.com column on the importance of A-Rod showing up in this series):

Including postseason, Alex Rodriguez has at least 15 career plate appearances against 53 left-handed pitchers (combining regular season and postseason).

His .077 batting average against C.J. Wilson rates second-worst among those 53. He's 1-for-13 against Wilson (with four walks). The only hit came in his last at-bat against Wilson on September 10, a two-run double to right center.
