NEW YORK -- Robinson Cano drilled Tommy Hunter's 0-1 fastball into the first row beyond the right-field where a fan may or may not have interfered with Nelson Cruz's attempt to grab it. Right-field umpire Jim Reynolds signaled home run and the Yankees scored first for the first time in the series to lead 1-0.
Rangers manager Ron Washington trotted out to right field to state his case, but to no avail.
Washington was back out in right field two batters later when Lance Berkman's towering shot down the line was ruled fair by Reynolds. This one went to review and reversed. Replays clearly showed the ball sailed past the pole in foul territory. Hunter came back and caught Berkman looking on a full-count.
