NEW YORK -- The Rangers didn't need to hit a ball out of the infield to take the lead.

After a pair of perfect innings, a wild streak bit A.J. Burnett. He walked David Murphy after an 0-2 count and hit Bengie Molina with a pitch.

The Rangers took advantage of the opportunity with a Mitch Moreland sacrifice bunt, RBI groundout by Elvis Andrus and RBI infield single by Michael Young.

Rangers 2, Yankees 1 entering the bottom of the third.

Control has been Burnett's biggest problem all season. He led the American League by hitting 19 batters with pitches and ranked seventh with 78 walks. He started a simulated game last week by sailing his first pitch over the catcher's head and later hit a couple of batters.

It took a few innings for Burnett's control issues to come up in Game 4, but the Rangers made him pay when they did.
