ARLINGTON, Texas -- Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz said his left hamstring doesn't bother him when he walks around (a good sign since it did the previous three DL trips because of hamstring issues in 2010) and that he fully expects to play on Friday.
"Definitely," Cruz said when asked if he'd play on Thursday.
He said he'll run around some during the club's afternoon workout to see how things feel. But all indications are he should be fine. Cruz said he was taken out in the fifth inning of Game 5 as a precaution and that manager Ron Washington didn't want to test things in the chilly New York weather.
