Colby Lewis keeps eye on Robinson Cano

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The two MVP candidates for the Rangers and Yankees sure have played like it in this series.

The Rangers' Josh Hamilton is hitting .316 with four homers and seven RBIs. The Yankees' Robinson Cano is hitting .421 with four homers and five RBIs.

Rangers Game 6 starter Colby Lewis knows he must execute or face the consequences against a player like Cano.

"You try to make your pitch and hopefully he miss-hits it somehow," Lewis said. "That's all you can do is try not to make mistakes because when a guy is locked in like that, you do make a little mistake and he takes advantage of it, for sure."

Lewis said he's going to take the same approach he used in Game 2 onto the field for Game 6. That's get ahead of the count early and not back down.

"I want to go deep in the game and to do that I have to get quick outs and not walk guys," Lewis said.
