ARLINGTON, Texas -- Colby Lewis and Phil Hughes take the mound for tonight's Game 6 and both will be focused on getting ahead of hitters and pitching efficiently.

These two opposed each other in Game 2, with Lewis coming out with the win after going 5 2/3 innings and allowing two runs. He'd like to pitch even deeper in the game tonight. Hughes gave up seven runs in just four innings as the Ranger hitters were dialed in. That was unusual for Hughes, who had a sterling mark at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington before that outing.

Both want to give their teams more innings, coming closer to finishing what they start. Here are a few things to keep an eye on when it comes to the mound:

* Hughes struggled getting batters out with two strikes in Game 2 of the ALCS. Rangers batters hit .455, slugged .909, and had four extra base hits with two strikes, all season worsts for Hughes.

* Dating back to September 21st, opposing batters have just six hits in 53 at-bats against off speed pitches from Colby Lewis (.113).
