According to various reports, including this one from ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick, the Phillies have emerged as the "mystery team" in the hunt for Cliff Lee.

Philadelphia makes sense in that Lee played for them before and liked it there. But do they have the money to submit an offer close to the Yankees or Rangers?

I guess we'll find out. And that could be one reason why Lee hasn't made a decision yet as of Monday evening.

The Rangers and Yankees continue to wait for Lee to make a call. So we'll see if it happens in the next day or two.

Do you think the Phillies pose a threat to the Yankees or Rangers for Lee's services?
