SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Rangers pitcher Brandon Webb threw from 200 to 205 feet on Tuesday and said he had "good life." He threw for 17 minutes, his second consecutive day of what he called "heavy long toss."

"That's crazy for me," Webb said of the distance. "It felt good."

Webb said Wednesday would be a light day and then he'd see what pitching coach Mike Maddux had planned for him. But he thinks he's closer to getting back on a mound.

Other injuries:

* RHP Eric Hurley has a mild right hamstring strain and will not throw off a mound today as planned. The club does not anticipate it being something that will keep Hurley out for long.

* OF Craig Gentry is scheduled to take some swings with a fungo on Tuesday. He broke his wrist last August.

* RHP Fabio Castillo, who has a broken bone in his left foot, was walking around without his boot on today.
