GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Elvis Andrus hit a home run.
That's almost as rare as freezing temperatures in Arizona.
Andrus hit a solo shot in the first inning against the Indians, clearing the wall in left-center field by several feet. He homered once last spring, but he's gone 696 at-bats without a homer that really counted. His last regular-season homer happened on Sept. 2, 2009 against Toronto.
Andrus going adios might not be so rare this season. He bulked up 10 pounds to 205 over the offseason and feels more free to swing away now that he's been dropped from first to second in the lineup.
