ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Red Sox have a dangerous lineup.

There's Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, David Ortiz, Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia, among others.

It's a difficult lineup for any pitcher to handle, and the Rangers' C.J. Wilson has to face it Friday.

"They’re good players," Wilson said. "Obviously, you don’t pay a guy over $100 million unless he’s a good player. It's just that. They’re good."

Wilson, who is making his first Opening Day start, was talking about Crawford, who signed a seven-year, $142 million deal with the Red Sox in the offseason. Last season, Scott Feldman started the opener. Kevin Millwood started the four openers before that.

Wilson said the key for him with any start, especially on opening day, is execution.

"I get a little bit anxious before every start regardless of what it is -- even spring training starts -- because I’m out there [and] I have a plan," Wilson said. "And I'm trying to do everything I can to execute that plan. That’s really my only concern: Doing what I showed up to do and doing it as well as possible. That’s all there is to it."
