The Rangers will present American League Championship rings to returning players, coaches and staff before Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox.
The televised on-field festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. The first pitch of Saturday’s game has been moved 10 minutes later, to 7:15 p.m., to accommodate the presentation.
The Rangers presented the first rings to the family of the late Tom Vandergriff and to Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck at a luncheon Thursday. Front-office employees will receive their rings Monday.
The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation also announced that it will hold a raffle that will award an authentic AL Championship ring to a fan. Raffle tickets will be available for sale beginning at Saturday's game on the Rangers Ballpark concourse or at the foundation's kiosk located behind Sections 22-25.
Raffle tickets start at $5 and will be available through Aug. 31.
In addition, all fans who attend Monday's game against Seattle will receive a replica ring.
