Murphy's chalk double gives Rangers lead

ARLINGTON, Texas -- David Murphy has just given the Rangers a 7-5 lead with a double down the left-field line in the eighth inning.

Murphy's hit landed on the line in left as chalk flew all over the place. His hit, against Daniel Bard, drove in two runs. Murphy was pinch hitting for Julio Borbon, who walked twice and bounced out to the pitcher.

The Red Sox tied the score at 5-5 on a David Ortiz home run to dead center field in their half of the eighth inning. Now with the lead, it's expected the Rangers will bring in closer Neftali Feliz to end things.

The Rangers were not finished. An RBI double to right center by Elvis Andrus pushed the lead to 8-5.
