ARLINGTON, Texas -- A pair of right-handers square off in the Thursday's finale of a four-game series at 1:05 p.m. today at Rangers Ballpark.

Alexi Ogando (3-0, 2.13 ERA): The lanky 27-year-old converted reliever from the Dominican Republic is scheduled to make his fifth start. At home, Ogando is 2-0. According to Elias Sports Bureau, he is the first Rangers’ pitcher in club history to go 3-0 or better with an ERA below 2.20 in his first four starts in the majors. In his last outing, a 3-1 win over the Royals on Saturday, Ogando allowed five hits and one run in six innings. The only run was a home run by Kila Ka’aihue. The Rangers are 3-1 in his four starts, but have scored three runs or less in each of his three wins. He will be facing Toronto for the first time.

Brandon Morrow (0-1, 5.06 ERA): Scheduled to make his second start of the season, the 26-year old native Californian struck out 10 and allowed only three hits in his debut, a 6-4 loss on April 23 at Tampa Bay. In his last start against the Rangers, Morrow scattered eight hits in six innings of a 5-2 win on May 16, 2010 at Rogers Centre. In his career against the Rangers, he is 3-4 with a 4.55 ERA in 15 games, which includes three starts. His 10.95 strikeouts per nine innings last season would have been a franchise mark had he recorded enough innings to qualify.

Hitters: Michael Young (4-for-10) and Ian Kinsler (4-13) are the Rangers with the most hits off Morrow. Chris Davis is 2-for-3 with a homer. Julio Borbon (2-for-5) and Young have also hit homers off him. Morrow has done well against some of the bigger names in the Rangers order. Adrian Beltre is looking for his first hit in four tries, Nelson Cruz is hitting .100 against him and Mike Napoli is 1-for-8...Only two Jays have faced Ogando. Corey Patterson had a hit and an RBI in his lone plate appearance and Juan Rivera is hitless in two plate appearances against him.
