PHILADELPHIA -- Injured sluggers Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz will continue their rehab work in Triple-A Round Rock this weekend.

If all goes well the Rangers could activate them next week, maybe as soon as Monday.

Cruz was slated to comeback this weekend for the three-game series against the Philadelphia Phillies, but he's still working on getting his timing down.

Hamilton has been doing fine during his rehab at-bats.

"Hopefully, they can get though this weekend and we’ll see where we can go," manager Ron Washington said.

Hamilton has been out since April 13, now a span of 34 games, with a fractured right humerus bone. The Rangers are 14-19 in his absence.

Cruz has missed the last 15 games, counting Friday's contest, with a strained quad muscle. The Rangers are just 7-7 without him in the lineup.
