Josh Hamilton homers in first at-bat

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Josh Hamilton stylishly signaled his Rangers return with a two-out home run over the right-field wall in the bottom of the first inning against White Sox starter John Danks.

Hamilton, activated from the disabled list before the game, received a standing ovation when he was introduced and pulled an 0-1 pitch an estimated 358 feet.

It was Hamilton’s first at-bat since April 13 and his first home run of the year.

Texas leads Chicago, 1-0, after an inning.
