HOUSTON -- The Rangers got a slew of players selected to a couple of minor league all-star games today.

Chris Davis, tied for fourth in the Pacific Coast League with 19 home runs for Round Rock, was selected as a reserve for the Triple-A All Star game. Third baseman Brian Barden was named a starter. Barden is hitting .360, good for sixth in the PCL, with seven home runs and 38 RBIs.

The Triple-A All-Star Game is July 13 at Spring Mobile Ballpark in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Also, Cuban import Leonys Martin was selected to the Double-A All-Star Game. Martin, who signed a five-year $15.5 million deal with the Rangers, is going with standout left handed starter Martin Perez. DH Mike Bianucci and Martin were selected as starters.
Calvin Watkins joined ESPNDallas.com in September 2009. He's covered the Cowboys since 2006 and also has covered colleges, boxing and high school sports.
