A few notes from the Rangers today before the second half starts on Thursday:
* RHP Matt West has been suspended an additional four games by the organization (on top of the 6-game suspension he received by the Northwest League on Tuesday) for a total of 10 games for his part in Monday's on-field altercation between Spokane and Vancouver. West isn't the only Rangers minor leaguer suspended: RHP Jose Monegro (3 games), iNF Rougned Odor (4 games) and RHP Santo Perez (3 games) will also miss time.
* Two game times on this upcoming road trip have been pushed back slightly. Saturday's game at Seattle was moved from 9:10 p.m. Dallas time to 9:15 p.m. so the Mariners have more time for an on-field ceremony celebrating the 2001 team (116 wins).
* Tuesday's game in Anaheim against the Angels was moved from 9:05 p.m. Dallas time to 9:25 p.m. because of a pregame ceremony inducting Gene Autry into the Angels Hall of Fame. Rangers CEO Nolan Ryan will attend and throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game. Ryan was a 1992 Angels Hall of Fame inductee and will receive his Hall of Fame ring as well.
