ARLINGTON, Texas -- Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz came out of Sunday’s game with the Angels with a strained left hamstring. He will be re-evaluated on Monday. Cruz pulled up just after rounding the first base bag on a double to lead off the sixth inning.
That's not good news for the Rangers. Every time Cruz has had a strain, it's required a disabled list stint. He had three different stints on the DL last season, all with hamstring strains (two of them with left hamstring strains). He missed a total of 51 games in 2010.
Cruz has already been on the DL this year with a strained right quadriceps muscle that kept him out for a few weeks in May.
Cruz is leading this team in homers with 28 and is second in RBIs with 84.
