Adrian Beltre, Andres Blanco return to field
Beltre, who started at third base, singled, scored a run and struck out twice. He has been out with a strain on his left hamstring since July 23. Barring any setbacks, he should be back with the Rangers by Thursday. He is hitting .276 with 20 homers and 76 RBIs with the Rangers this season.
Utility infielder Andres Blanco joined Beltre in beginning a rehab assignment with Round Rock, going 1-for-3 with a throwing error at shortstop. He has been on the disabled list since Aug. 9 with lower back inflammation.
