Limited ALCS seats on sale 9 a.m. Saturday

OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Rangers announced Wednesday that a limited number of reserved seats, obstructed view and standing room only tickets for possible ALCS games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington will be on sale to the public starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Fans can purchse the tickets online at texasrangers.com, by phone at 972-RANGERS or in person at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington West Box Office. The hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday for phone and box office and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Individuals may purchase a maximum of four tickets for one of the four possible ALCS games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington through this sale. There will be an additional service fee charged for tickets purchased online or over the phone.

PLEASE NOTE: With the afternoon game on Saturday, September 24, tickets for that day’s Rangers-Mariners game will be on sale at the First Base Box Office only at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. due to the ALCS on-sale. Beginning at 11:00 a.m., the West Box Office will begin selling Mariners-Rangers tickets. A reminder that Saturday’s game time has been changed from 7:05 p.m. to 3:11 p.m. Approximately 10,000 tickets remain for each of the three weekend games with Seattle.

There is a possibility of up to four American League Championship Series games that could be played at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Tickets may be purchased for Home Game 1, Home Game 2, Home Game 3, or Home Game 4 of the ALCS at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The 2011 American League Championship Series is scheduled from October 8-16.

The Registration for the Online Ticket Opportunity that will allow fans the chance to purchase tickets to possible 2011 World Series Games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington continues until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, Friday, September 23.

Fans can go to texasrangers.com/opportunity and register for the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets for one of the three possible 2011 World Series games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Following registration, a pool of randomly selected registrants will be chosen and provided access to an online pre-sale opportunity, based on available inventory. Those selected will be notified by email no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27. The Online Ticket Opportunity for those selected will take place on Wednesday, September 28.

Fans who have already registered for the Postseason Ticket Opportunity do not need to register again. Each registration automatically rolls into the next round, regardless of selection to participate in the early purchase opportunity.

There is no charge to register for this opportunity, which will be the best option for fans to purchase individual tickets to possible 2011 post-season games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

The Texas Rangers will also have a limited number of reserved seats, obstructed view seating, and standing room only tickets for possible 2011 World Series games at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington available for public sale beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 2.

ALCS and World Series tickets will not be on sale at the Rangers Dallas and Fort Worth ticket offices.
