DETROIT -- Game 4 of the AL Championship Series features LHP Matt Harrison vs. RHP Rick Porcello. First pitch is slated for 3:19 p.m. central time on ESPN 103.3 FM and Fox television. A look at the matchups:

Harrison (1-0, 4.76 ERA in playoffs): The 25-year-old was 14-9 with a 3.39 ERA in 31 games (30 starts) in the regular season....He pitched a career-high 185 2/3 innings with 126 strikeouts and 57 walks. ...Harrison was second in the majors to teammate C.J. Wilson with 30 ground ball double plays induced. ...The lefty pitched in Game 4 of the ALDS, helping the Rangers clinch the series. He allowed three runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings with three walks and nine strikeouts in Tropicana Field against the Rays. ...The nine strikeouts tied a career-high. ...Harrison is 0-2 with a 6.30 ERA in two starts vs. Detroit in 2011. He's allowed seven runs on 17 hits in 10 innings. ...One of those starts was at Comerica Park in early August, when he allowed four runs on nine hits in six innings in a 5-4 loss.

Porcello (0-1, 4.50 ERA in playoffs): Was 14-9 with a 4.75 ERA in 182 innings in 2011. It was the third straight season with 10-or-more wins for the 22-year-old right-hander. ...He finished the season on a roll with a 3-1 mark wiht a 3.35 ERA in September. ...Porcello pitched in relief in Game 1 of the ALCS and threw two scoreless innings with one strikeout. ...Righties hit .252 off Porcello, while lefties batted .324 off him. ...He gave up four runs on five hits in six innings in a 10-1 Tigers loss to the Yankees in the ALDS. ...Porcello won his only start against the Rangers in 2011, giving up one run on six hits in six innings in an 8-1 win on June 7 in Arlington.

Hitters: The current Tiger hitters have batted .364 against Harrison in his career. Austin Jackson (5-for-10, 2 RBIs), Ryan Raburn (8-for-12, 2 HR, 7 RBIs), Miguel Cabrera (6-for-15, 3 RBIs), Alex Avila (4-for-4, HR, 2 RBIs) and Brandon Inge (3-for-7) have hit Harrison well. ...Wilson Betemit (1-for-7), Ramon Santiago (0-for-4) and Delmon Young (2-for-9) have struggled against Harrison. ...David Murphy (4-for-6), Ian Kinsler (2-for-3) and Michael Young (3-for-5) have hit well vs. Porcello, while Josh Hamilton (0-for-3) and Mike Napoli (1-for-5) haven't.
