Rain remains a player for Game 6

ST. LOUIS -- It's 80 degrees and beautiful at an empty Busch Stadium as the World Series takes a break Tuesday. Game 6 between the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Wednesday with "scheduled" being the operative word.

Grim forecasts have been out for days and with the countdown to first pitch under 28 hours, the forecast still calls for cold temperatures and rain, but perhaps not as much rain as previously expected in the evening hours. Chance of rain in the evening hours is down to 60 percent, at least according to Weather.com.

Now, if you want to check out the National Weather Service, well, they've got it at an 80 percent chance.

Temperatures are expected to drop into the mid-to-low 50s by game time and dip steadily through the night.

If Game 6 is postponed, the good news is that Thursday and Friday (for a possible Game 7) forecasts call for cool temperatures and mostly clear skies.
