Lobby talk: Mark Buehrle heads to Miami

DALLAS -- The Miami Marlins, according to various reports (including Jayson Stark at ESPN.com), have agreed to terms with Mark Buehrle on a four-year, $58 million deal. (Amazingly, that means they've spent $191 million on Heath Bell, Jose Reyes and now Buehrle).
So what does that mean for C.J. Wilson? It certainly makes it appear that the Marlins won't still be aggressive on Wilson, but with the kind of splash they are making this week, you never know.
That would likely make the Wilson sweepstakes a duel of AL West contenders: The Rangers and Angels.
Texas will not go six years for Wilson and it reports are that he has a five-year offer from the Angels. That likely puts them in the lead for his services, though Wilson is happy in Texas. Wilson texted earlier this afternoon that the decision is "very" difficult and that he has not made up his mind. The Rangers weren't optimistic about signing Buerhle or Wilson earlier in the day.
Buehrle had narrowed his choices to three teams, one of which was believed to be the Rangers, who were not comfortable even a few days ago talking about four years for Buehrle.
