Pudge would welcome return to Rangers
Rangers legend Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez discusses his interest in coming back to Texas and whether he would be willing to take a backup role.
On the possibility of coming back to Texas:
Well it's always a good thing of course. That was the team that I started [with] a long time ago. I played pretty much my whole career there, and it's always nice to come back and play the year that you want to play in the team that you start.
On if he would accept a backup role:
Absolutely. I played so much and right now in the last couple of years what I've been doing is just playing probably every other day, every three games and helping the young catchers to develop to become an everyday catcher. I did that in Houston, I did that right now in Washington with a very good catcher in Wilson Ramos and right now he's doing tremendous.
