SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- ESPN.com's Kevin Goldstein released his top fantasy prospects -- Nos. 51-100 -- on Tuesday and Texas Rangers left-handed pitcher Martin Perez is No. 97. Here's what Goldstein says about Perez:
Background: Perez was once seen as one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, but after a pair of poor showings over the past two years while getting rushed to the upper levels of the system, scouts are starting to have some doubts about him.
What he can do: Perez has a low-to-mid 90s fastball and one of the easiest deliveries in the game. He has an outstanding changeup and a decent curveball, but he has struggled of late with his command and control, and the quality of his stuff varies from outing to outing.
Playing-time situation: The Rangers have one of the most talent pitching staffs in baseball, and with the signing of Yu Darvish and the expected conversion of Neftali Feliz to starter, Perez is in line for little more than a September look.
Long-term value: Perez could hit the Rangers rotation full-time in 2013, and should become a mainstay there, with some star possibilities if he can be more consistent.

There are other Rangers in the top-100, but you'll have to logon to your insider account and take a look at those here. It's worth checking out.
