Texas Rangers closer Joe Nathan pitched an inning for High-A Myrtle Beach on Friday.

He had two walks and struck out a batter on 22 pitches against the Padres' affiliate Lake Elsinore.

Nathan also walked two batters in his last Cactus League outing Monday. He gave up three runs on two hits against the Seattle Mariners.

Rangers manager Ron Washington said he wasn't going to remove Nathan from the closer position following Monday's outing. You can read more about that here.
