Rangers partner with Japanese social app provider

The partnerships between the Texas Rangers and Japanese companies are starting to roll in.

gloops, a social application provider, announced an official partnership with the Rangers on Sunday. The partnership will include a gloops exclusive Japanese backdrop during press conferences, a fixed sign behind home plate at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington and signs around Surprise Stadium for the rest of spring training.

The social application runs games that allow people to communicate over the Internet. It has provided over 15 titles, including the Japanese professional baseball game.

In the official press release, the company said it looks forward to the excitement pitcher Yu Darivsh will bring to both Rangers' fans and fans of Darvish in Japan. It's a part of the company's "We Are Totally Rooting for Baseball Project" campaign.
