SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish will not face the Los Angeles Angels this weekend.

Darvish is on a six-man rotation and will pitch five innings as planned this weekend, but he'll do it Sunday morning in Surprise Stadium against some Rangers minor leaguers in an intrasquad game.

Darvish pitched four innings at home against the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday and allowed one run on one hit with three walks and four strikeouts. He was pleased with his fastball command, despite needing 70 pitches in his four-inning stint. The outing included retiring Ryan Braun, the NL MVP, twice. He got Braun to pop up to second baseman Ian Kinsler to end the first and hit a fly ball to left to end the third.
