Daily (Yu) Darvish: Bullpen sessions
The 25-year-old threw 36 pitches, all from the windup, and pitching coach Mike Maddux was impressed with the session.
Darvish has been working on his rhythm from the windup recently and his fastball command. His command with the four-seamer and two-seamer was better in his last start, though he was a bit wild with his breaking stuff. He'll try to get all of it in order Sunday.
Darvish will have a light day Saturday before throwing five innings against Ranger minor leaguers at Surprise Stadium on Sunday morning.
