Notes: Neftali Feliz does light throwing

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Neftali Feliz had a light throwing session on Saturday, throwing off a mound but not hard. It was mainly a chance keep Feliz loosened up. But since he didn't throw a regular bullpen session, his Monday start is very unlikely.

Feliz said Friday that his tight right shoulder felt better, but the Rangers don't want to take any chances. Scott Feldman is scheduled to pitch Monday on shorter rest and Feliz still has time to start another game in Cactus League play and then could pitch in an exhibition game before the season.

Other notes:

* Catcher Mike Napoli will catch back-to-back games, starting with today's contest against the Angels. It's a chance to test his ankle.

"I just want him to get through it with no problems," Washington said.

* LHP Matt Harrison will pitch five innings or so in a minor league game Saturday in Surprise.

* Washington says he'll try to get Alberto Gonzalez and Luis Hernandez as much time as he can in the next 10 days to try to make a decision on the utility infield spot. Both can play second, third and short, though Gonzalez also has some experience in the outfield.

* The regulars will play around five innings in Surprise today and most of them will be off Sunday, when the Rangers head to Tempe. However, David Murphy, Mike Napoli, Mitch Moreland and one or two others will make the trip.

* RHP Mark Hamburger will start Sunday's game and LHP Robbie Ross is also expected to pitch.
