Notes: Brandon Snyder ready for anything
The 25-year-old has a handful of gloves -- he can play third, first, second and corner outfield -- and all of his catching equipment just in case.
"You never know what I may be asked to do," Snyder said. "That's great, too. I love being able to just play wherever they want me."
Snyder has been one of the club's surprises this spring. He was acquired from Baltimore for cash considerations Jan. 3 and has been swinging a nice bat. He's right-handed, which at the moment has allowed him to stay in camp longer than expected. The Rangers have put him in the corner spots in the outfield the past week in an effort to see how he does out there.
It's possible that Snyder will need a little more time in the minors, and he's ready for that.
"Every day I get to be here is great for me," Snyder said. "I've enjoyed learning from these guys. I just want to get better and be ready if they need me. I'll go day-by-day and see what happens."
* RHP Mike Adams pitched well in an intrasquad minor league game (there was a minor league game scheduled with the Dodgers, but they've have already sent some minor leaguers out and there weren't enough players for a full game). Adams allowed no runs on one hit with two strikeouts on 22 pitches (16 strikes). Adams faced: Jurickson Profar (Klooking), Leury Garcia (infield single), Mike Olt (F9), and Chris McGuiness (K swinging).
* The club's final road game of the Cactus League season is Saturday at Goodyear against the Cleveland Indians. Neftali Feliz is scheduled to start.
