The Rangers are in Boston for a two-game series with the Red Sox at Fenway Park. And they'll have the Nos. 1 and 2 pitchers in the rotation heading to the mound. Tonight's game is at 6:10 p.m. on FSSW and ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM. We will be chatting during the game (I'll be watching with you on my TV) here on the Rangers blog. Here's a look at the matchup:

Colby Lewis (1-0, 1.42 ERA): In two outings, the 32-year-old has two quality starts -- one against the Chicago White Sox on Opening Day and the other against the Seattle Mariners. ... Lewis did not fare well against Boston last season. He was 1-2 with an 8.22 ERA in 15 1/3 innings (three starts) in 2011. His worst start against them came at Fenway Park, when he lasted just 3 1/3 innings and allowed four runs on seven hits and the Red Sox hit .412 against him. ... This is Lewis' first road start of the season. He was much better away from Arlington in 2011, putting up a 9-5 mark and a 3.43 ERA (he was 5-5 with a 5.54 ERA at home).

Jon Lester (0-1, 2.40 ERA): The 28-year-old has had four consecutive seasons (three of those with more than 200 innings pitched) of at least 15 wins, but is looking for his first win of 2012 after two starts. He's had a complete game, but got the loss in that start (at Toronto). ... The left-hander is tougher on rigtht-handed hitters so far in 2012. They've hit just .171 off him (lefties aren't much better at .200). ... He made just one start against Texas in 2011 (in Arlington) and gave up five runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings in the loss.

Hitters: Adrian Gonzalez is an impressive 6-for-7 with two homers and three RBIs against Lewis. ... David Ortiz is 5-for-15 with three homers and five RBIs. ... Jarrod Saltalamacchia (2-for-9) and Kevin Youkilis (2-for-9) have struggled against Lewis. ... Nelson Cruz is 6-for-12 off Lester and Mike Napoli is 5-for-9. ... Five Rangers players have homers off Lester: Cruz, Napoli, Michael Young (2 HRs and hitting .346 off him), Ian Kinsler (2 HRs, but hitting just .158) and Josh Hamilton.

Up next:
  • Wednesday at Boston (6 p.m., ESPN2, KSKY 660 AM): LHP Derek Holland (1-0, 3.38 ERA) vs. RHP Josh Beckett (1-1, 5.68 ERA)
  • Thursday at Detroit (6:05 p.m., FSSW, ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM): LHP Matt Harrison (2-0, 0.64 ERA) vs. LHP Adam Wilk (0-0, 5.40 ERA)
