DETROIT -- The Texas Rangers begin a four-game series at Comerica Park against the Detroit Tigers tonight at 6:05 p.m. on FSSW and ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM. You can also join us for live in-game chats all series long. Here's a brief look at tonight's matchup:

RHP Yu Darvish (1-0, 4.76 ERA): The 25-year-old is working on four days' rest after the rotation was switched because of Monday's off day. ... Darvish got a no-decision in his last start in Minnesota, giving up two runs (one earned) on nine hits with four walks and four strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings. He needed 102 pitches. ... In his two starts he hasn't been able to get through six full innings. The Rangers are 2-0, though, in Darvish's starts. ... The Rangers have averaged 7.94 runs of support in Darvish's starts (ninth in the AL and second on the team to Colby Lewis). He received four or more runs of support in a start in Japan 53 times and was 49-0 with a 1.94 ERA (89 ER/413.1 IP) in those outings.

LHP Adam Wilk (0-1, 3.60 ERA): The 24-year-old, who made his big league debut last year, has just one outing to his name this season. He went five innings and gave up two runs in a loss to the Chicago White Sox last week. ... It was his first major league start after appearing in five games for the Tigers in 2011. In fact, Wilk has yet to pitch in a game that Detroit has won. They are 0-6 in games he's appeared in the past two seasons. ... He gave up on run on two hits in two innings in a game in Arlington last June.

Hitters: No Ranger player has more than one at-bat off Wilk and the only two with hits are Craig Gentry (double) and Adrian Beltre (homer). ... Darvish has never faced the Tigers, meaning he'll get his first crack at Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera.
