BALTIMORE -- What will Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton do for an encore?
He's got two-run homers in five of his last six at-bats, including the four-homer night on Tuesday. He faces lefty Wei-Yin Chen tonight. It's the first time Chen has pitched against the Rangers.
Hamilton's numbers are actually pretty good when he hits against a pitcher for the first time. He's 139-for-484 (.287) with 25 home runs in his first plate appearance in his career versus a pitcher, according to Elias Sports Bureau.
BTW, Chen, a Taiwan native, is very good the first time through the order, holding opponents to .205 (8-for-39) this season. After the first time through, opponents have hit .272 against him (Elias Sports Bureau).
