Rain delays Rangers-Diamondbacks game

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Rain showers caused a delay in the Rangers-Diamondbacks game at 7:55 p.m. local time with the game scoreless heading into the fifth inning.

The two teams played several innings in a steady rain, but once it turned into a downpour, home-plate umpire Jeff Kellogg made the call to delay the game and the tarp was put on the field.
