Josh Hamilton released from hospital

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton was released from an area hospital Saturday morning after receiving fluids to deal with an intestinal virus. Hamilton checked into the hospital Friday.

He plans on coming to the park Sunday to work out, but won’t play in the final two games of this series with the Houston Astros. He is scheduled to fly with the team to San Diego and be ready to play Monday against the San Diego Padres.
