ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Texas Rangers host the Detroit Tigers in a three-game series beginning Monday. The Rangers defeated the Tigers three out of four games in April. The two clubs haven't faced each other in Texas since last year's American League Championship Series. The series opener features RHP Justin Grimm vs. RHP Rick Porcello. A quick look at the matchup:

Porcello (4-5, 4.95): The 23-year-old is making is 15th start of the season. ... Gave up just two runs in seven innings in his last start in a 3-1 loss to St. Louis. ... Gave up nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits in just one inning of work in a loss to the Rangers on April 21. ... He is 0-3 against the AL West this season. ... Opponents are hitting .319 against him. ... June has been his best month of the season. He is 1-1 with a 4.30 ERA in four starts.

Hitters: Current Rangers are 26-for-57 (.456) against Porcello. ... David Murphy is 5-for-7 with a home run and two RBIs. ... Ian Kinsler is 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs. ... Michael Young is 4-for-7 with a double and three RBIs. ... Josh Hamilton is 1-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs. ... No current Tigers have faced Grimm.
