ARLINGTON, Texas -- Neftali Feliz said that he is feeling much better and his rehab is progressing well.

Feliz has been on the 60-day disabled list since May 18 with an elbow ligament sprain. He said he will throw long toss tomorrow and is expected to throw a bullpen session while the Rangers are in Chicago for their series with the White Sox on July 3-5.

Feliz still expects to return sometime in late July.

Notes:

* Alexi Ogando is also progressing in his rehab. He threw 120-feet in long toss Friday and said he could throw a bullpen session after the Rangers return from their series with the White Sox. He said he feels like he is at about 85 percent.

Derek Holland threw in the bullpen Friday too and will make his second rehab start in Round Rock on Monday.

Mark Lowe received an MRI for his strained right intercostal muscle Friday. He said he will find out the results of that test later tonight.

* Yoshinori Tateyama returned to the clubhouse last night around the eighth inning. He said that he worked on his fastball command while he was in the minors and feels good about it. He said that rest was key for him during his time spent away from the Rangers.

* Tanner Scheppers said he feels good and is available to pitch after earning his first career save Friday against the A's.

"There's a lot of stuff I want to improve on and get better at," Scheppers said. "It was a good learning experience and a good opportunity."

* Ron Washington said that he is proud of the way his club has performed this month in the face of adversity and many injuries. He said that he expects them to perform at a high level no matter what and he is not surprised.

"I think it has a lot to do with the mindset and focus of these guys," He said. "They only worry about what's in front of them today. You can't do anything about what happened, all you can do is continue to believe in each other and they know they can play. That's how you be successful, in life and in sports."
